What happens during holistic wellness sessions at Achieve Health Center?

During a holistic wellness session, I will assess your mental, emotional, and physical health to create a personalized healing plan. Each session may incorporate elements of hypnotherapy, waking hypnosis, or life coaching depending on your unique needs. The goal is to restore balance in all areas of your life, addressing the root causes of any issues you’re facing while guiding you toward greater well-being and fulfillment. Sessions may include:

  • Hypnotherapy Techniques: Using guided imagery and deep relaxation exercises, I help clients enter a calm and focused state, enabling them to address underlying issues and achieve meaningful personal change.

What is integrative health?

Holistic healing takes a comprehensive approach, focusing on treating the root causes of imbalance rather than just addressing symptoms. Traditional medicine often focuses on physical health alone, whereas holistic healing looks at how emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects are interconnected with physical well-being. At Achieve Health Center, I use a combination of services to provide a complete path to wellness, addressing both the conscious and subconscious mind.

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of deep relaxation and heightened focus. In this relaxed state, your mind becomes more open to receiving positive suggestions that support growth and improvement in every area of life. During hypnosis, your conscious mind steps back, allowing your subconscious to take in helpful instructions without interference from your usual mental processes. It’s a state that everyone experiences naturally—when we’re falling asleep, waking up, or even daydreaming.

On a physiological level, hypnosis stimulates the limbic system, the part of the brain connected to emotions and involuntary functions like stress and blood pressure. During hypnosis, these functions come under greater control, allowing for physical benefits such as stress reduction, lower blood pressure, and shifts in body chemistry like cortisol levels. Research shows that these changes can positively impact overall well-being.

 

How does hypnotherapy fit into holistic wellness?

Hypnotherapy is one of the core techniques I use to promote holistic wellness. By tapping into the subconscious mind, hypnotherapy addresses deep-seated beliefs and patterns that affect your well-being. When combined with other healing methods, such as life coaching or waking hypnosis, hypnotherapy helps clients achieve profound emotional, mental, and physical healing. This blend ensures that you’re managing symptoms while transforming the underlying issues for long-term wellness.

Do you have "control" over the subject's mind during hypnosis?

Absolutely not. Hypnosis cannot happen unless you are open and willing. You will remain fully aware of your surroundings throughout the session, and you are always in control. If anything were suggested that goes against your values or personal principles, you would simply reject it or come out of the hypnotic state. You only accept the suggestions that resonate with you—everything else is naturally dismissed.

Has anyone ever been harmed by the use of hypnosis?

Hypnosis, as we know it today, has been safely practiced for over 200 years. There has never been a documented case of harm caused by hypnosis. This is because, as I mentioned earlier, you are always in control during the process. You will only accept suggestions that align with your values, and nothing can be imposed on you without your consent.

Does one need more than an average intelligence to be hypnotized?

No! The hypnotic or “alpha” state is a completely natural aspect of the mind. Those who are able to concentrate and have strong imaginations often find this state easier to access. The more vivid your imagination, the more effective hypnosis tends to be. Your willingness to cooperate and engage in the process also plays a significant role in the success of the session

Does hypnosis render the person unconscious?

You are never unconscious during hypnosis. Instead, you are in a deeply relaxed and comfortable state. Throughout the entire session, you remain fully aware of everything happening around you.

Does hypnotherapy deal only with the symptom of a problem?

Hypnotherapy addresses both the symptoms and the root cause of the issue. It’s often said that “realizing the problem is only half the battle.” Once we’ve identified the core issue together, I can then use hypnotherapy to help reprogram the subconscious, eliminating the problem or shifting unwanted habits and behaviors. This deeper approach leads to lasting, meaningful change.

A breakthrough is a powerful moment of clarity and realization that shifts your perspective and opens up new possibilities. It occurs when you overcome a significant mental or emotional barrier that has been holding you back, whether it’s related to a limiting belief, a past experience, or a behavioral pattern. Breakthroughs often lead to rapid progress, greater self-awareness, and the ability to take action toward your goals.

Do you take insurance?

I am not contracted with any insurance companies; however, I’m happy to provide you with an insurance claim form that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement of your session fees. I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to understand what your benefits cover.
